Povljana

Povljana was settled in during the times of the Roman Empire. The remains of Stara Povljana, 3 km south from today’s settlement, still show this. One of the cultural-historical buildings worth mentioning is the well-preserved early Croatian St. Nicholas Church from the 11th century. West of the town lies healing mud with the silty sediment from the sea, which is used for curing rheumatism.
