Tour description
Day 1 – Saturday – Arrival on the island of Pag and check-in at the hotel. Introduction to the details of the program and technical information.
Day 2 – Sunday – The intense blue colour of the sky and the sea, contrasted with the white stones adds to the enchantment of the fairytale atmosphere of the moonlike landscape of one of the most impresive regions of the island of Pag, the Life on Mars trail. The tour is followed by the transfer to the northern part of the island where Novalja field is located. In its midst the family vineyard Šuljić-Boškinac arises, whose winery organises wine tasting of their highest quality wines.
Day 3 – Monday – A day to fully experience Velebit, the largest mountain of Croatia, located at the very core of its beauty. From the pictoresque Baške Oštarije village, which is a part of the Velebit nature park and where you can still encounter shepherds, various mountain trails branch, each of them revealing a diversity of impressive parts of Velebit in its own striking way. The stone ridges are one of the most impressive parts of the mountain.
Day 4 – Tuesday – The morning hours are planned for discovering and enjoying the Pag trail, which is one of the newest trail tracks on the Pag island. After the hiking tour, you will arrive to the centre of Pag town, where a tour through the old town centre is planned, including a visit to the gallery of Pag lace which is registered at the UNESCO’s register of Intangible Cultural Heritage from 2009.
In the afternoon a visit and tour of the OPG Anton Škunca estate is organised. After the tour through the distillery the guests can taste liqueurs and plant-based juices, as well as participate in the various workshops. Afterwards, you will visit a botanical reserve and enjoy an idyllic evening walk through the Lun olive garden. After the evening tour through the olive garden, you will be transferred back to your accommodation.
Day 5 – Wednesday – Day off. The possibility of a Pag Bay kayak tour with snorkelling or a Svetojanj e-bike tour.
The starting point of the Pag Bay kayak tour is Ručica beach and it departs toward the Sušac cape. Passing underneath the impressive stones, paddling becomes a pure delight. The first break for rest and swimming is planned at Sušac beach, after which you will visit Gače cave. The route continues towards the hidden pebble beach Malin where the second rest is planned, when you can go swimming and snorkelling. The last stop is planned at Beriknica beach, followed by the return to Ručica beach.
Svetojanj e-bike tour starts at Novalja and advances toward Novaljsko polje field. Once there, you will ascend toward a hunting lodge and, along the quarry, arrive to a dirt road overlooking Novalja town. Several kilometers away you can find Svetojašnica puddle on the way toward the lookout point above Svetojanj bay which provied a stunning view of the surrounding beaches, bays, islands, Velebit mountain and its channel. The descent leads to a bay where you will leave the bikes and begin a short climb to the Svetojanj fortress. At the top of the fortress a longer break for lunch is planned. The route contines by bikes in a different direction along several beautiful lookout points, after which you will ride downhill towards a former ferry port Drljanda. From that point, you will follow a 3 km long road which ends back at the starting point.
Day 6 – Thursday – The morning hours include traversing the trail to the highest point of the island of Pag, Sv. Vid. The hiking tour begins in Kolan town and continues toward pastoal paths toward the peak. It takes around one hour of hiking to reach the goal. The summit provides a spectacular view of the entire island of Pag, the surrounding islands, Pag Bay and the Velebit mountain. After the descent to the initial hiking point, a cheese tasting follows at the Gligora cheese factory.
The beauty of the early evening hours is enhanced with the appeal of sandy Babe bay and a guided SUP tour which, under the guidance of an experienced guide, becomes a relaxing and delightful experience. What makes the experience special are the paddles along the sea surface illuminated by the magical night sky and LED lamps on the SUP boards.
Day 7 – Friday – On this day you will be introduced to the largest and the most preserved forest complex of Dalmatian region, Paklenica national park, adorned by characteristic canyons cut into the southern hillside of the Velebit mountain, an abundance of geomorphological phenomena and formations, a diverse array of flora and fauna, attractive landscapes and untouched nature. Paklenica national park attracts mountain climbing enthusiasts from all over the world thanks to its amazing trails, impressive canyons and challenging summits. After the tour, the transfer to the accommodation on the Pag island follows.
Day 8 – Saturday – Departure.
