Activity Description
The tour begins at Ručica Beach. The trail starts through a karst landscape along the Pag Bay towards Beriknica Beach, one of the most beautiful on the island of Pag. It is known for its natural installation made of three uniquely shaped rocks, formed by thousands of years of exposure to the strong bora wind. The route continues towards Stogaj, a rock formation with an unusual shape that attracts many climbers. The trail then leads to the Slana Bay, where you can take a short break and swim. The hike proceeds to the Seline Bay, which offers a stunning view of the Velebit Channel. The tour ends with a return to the starting point via the same route.
Itinerary – Standard Route
Starting Location
The tour begins at the northeastern part of Ručica beach.
If you are arriving at Ručica beach via organized transport from Novalja, the starting location is the Sunturist travel agency.
Beriknica Beach
One of the island’s most attractive beaches, Beriknica is adorned with a natural formation of three strikingly shaped rocks.
Stogaj Rock
Many climbing enthusiasts visit the island of Pag specifically for Stogaj – a uniquely shaped rock situated in a stunning natural setting.
Slana Cove
Slana Cove is surrounded by bare cliffs, white stones, and almost no vegetation. Due to its isolation and unusual landscape, Slana offers silence and a sense of untouched nature. A short swimming break is possible on the beach.
Seline Cove
Seline Cove is surrounded by rocky terrain and crystal-clear waters, offering a wonderful view of the Velebit mountain and the Velebit Channel.
Return to Starting Location
If you arrived on your own, the tour ends at Ručica beach.
If you used organized transport, the final location is the Sunturist travel agency in Novalja.

Life on Mars – Level 2
The activity starts from the waterfront in Metajna and heads toward Ručica Beach. The path continues through the rocky landscape along the Pag Bay to Beriknica Beach, one of the most beautiful on the island of Pag. It is known for a natural installation made up of three strikingly shaped rocks, formed over millennia by the strong bora wind.
The route then continues to Stogaj, a uniquely shaped rock that attracts many climbers. The trail leads further to Slana Cove, where a short break for swimming is possible. The tour continues to Seline Cove, offering a stunning view of the Velebit Channel. The tour ends by returning to the starting point from the upper side of the island along the Velebit Channel.
Life on Mars – Level 3
The activity starts from the waterfront in Metajna and heads southwest toward the Metajna Peninsula, bordered by Cape Metajna and the Southern Cape. Along the peninsula, the trail passes Pod Zaglava Beach, where pine trees offer pleasant shade.
Upon reaching Ručica Beach – a location often used in film, music, and fashion shoots – the route continues through the rocky landscape along Pag Bay toward Beriknica Beach, known for its natural rock formation.
The path then leads to Stogaj Rock and further on to Slana Cove, continuing to the sandy Malin Cove, which features a perennial freshwater spring. A short break and swimming are possible here. The tour continues to Seline Cove, offering breathtaking views of the Velebit Channel. It ends with a return to the starting point from the upper side of the island along the Velebit Channel.
Hike + Kayak
The program begins at Ručica Beach. The path starts along the rocky terrain of Pag Bay toward Stogaj, a uniquely shaped rock popular among climbers. The trail continues toward Slana Cove and then to the sandy Malin Cove, where there is a perennial freshwater spring.
A short break and swimming are possible. From Malin, the tour continues by kayak to the Gače Cave, approximately 100 meters long with an exit on the opposite side. A portion of the cave is explored by kayak.
The kayaking continues toward the sandy cape Sušac, and onward to Beriknica Beach, where a break and swim are planned. Beriknica is one of the most beautiful beaches on the island of Pag, famous for its natural rock formation of three uniquely shaped stones, formed by millennia of exposure to the bora wind.
After the break, the tour ends with a return to Ručica Beach.
