A way to find a perfect Croatian holiday

Plitvice Lakes NP

The exceptional beauty of lakes and waterfalls, rich flora and fauna, contrasting colors, forests, and natural mountain landscape have earned this area the designation of UNESCO World Natural Heritage.

Activity Description

The program starts in the morning in Novalja, with a meeting point and transfer accompanied by a guide to Plitvice Lakes National Park. Plitvice Lakes is the oldest and largest national park in Croatia. For nearly 40 years, it has been listed as a UNESCO World Heritage Site for its protected natural and cultural value. The park features 16 stunning, interconnected lakes of crystal clear blue-green water, which constantly form new tufa barriers — the main natural phenomenon and beauty of the park. The water in the Plitvice Lakes is classified as top-quality drinking water.
You will experience this natural beauty by walking along forest paths and wooden trails, riding an electric boat, and traveling by panoramic train.

Arrival is scheduled for 11:00 AM, followed by a guided tour of the park. The tour begins at Entrance 2, the southern entrance to the park, with a short walk to the panoramic vehicle station, which takes you to Lake Prošćansko. After a pleasant ride, a walk continues along the Upper Lakes. Enjoy the idyllic scenery of the Upper Lakes with forested shores, and admire the park’s most attractive waterfalls – the Large and Small Prštavac, as well as many smaller falls.

Upon arrival at the pier, an electric boat will take you across Kozjak, the largest lake in Plitvice. During the ride, enjoy the vast expanse of Kozjak Lake. The boat docks at a shore where time is set aside for rest and refreshments.
After the break, the walking tour continues through the limestone canyon of the Lower Lakes, alongside beautiful blue lakes, all the way to the impressive Great Waterfall – the highest waterfall in Plitvice and the tallest in Croatia. There, a short stop is scheduled for photos.
The tour continues along the upper eastern side of the canyon, where numerous viewpoints offer spectacular views of the lakes and the high cliffs nearby.
Upon reaching the panoramic vehicle station, a ride takes you back to the starting point of the tour, near Entrance 2. This circular program allows you to fully enjoy the beauty of the entire lake area of the national park.

Departure back to the island of Pag is scheduled at 5:00 PM, with expected arrival around 7:30 PM.
